Study of Vitamin/Mineral Supplement for Children with Autism
Goal: Evaluate the effectiveness of a vitamin/mineral supplement designed for children with autism spectrum disorder.
Eligibility: Children with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) age 3-17 years.
What does the study involve?
Taking a vitamin/mineral supplement for 3 months
Verifying diagnosis of ASD
Medical history/medication form
Completing questionnaires at beginning and end of study
Measuring vitamins, minerals, and nutritional status at beginning and end of study using blood, urine, and stool samples.
Teleheath: The entire study will be conducted by telehealth except for the blood draw, which will be done in a private room at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ.
Benefits for Participating: Possible improvement in autism-related symptoms, and participants will receive a copy of their test results.
