Measuring Vitamin/Mineral Levels in Healthy Children and Children with Autism
Goal: Measure the levels of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients in healthy children to compare with children with autism. This will help us develop improved vitamin/mineral supplements for children with autism.
Eligibility: Children age 3-17 years who are in good physical and mental health, eating a healthy diet, and not currently taking a vitamin/mineral supplement.
What does the study involve?
Medical history/medication form (5 minutes).
Completing questionnaires about your child’s health and behavior (40 minutes, and 1 minute/day for 2 weeks).
A single collection of blood, urine, stool, and cheek swab.
Teleheath: The entire study will be conducted by telehealth except for the blood draw, which will be done in a private room at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ.
Compensation: Participants will receive a $150 gift card for participation.
